KUCHING, Jan 2: A 33-year-old Vietnamese woman was safely taken into police custody after an incident involving an attempt to harm herself at a condominium in Petanak here this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Padungan responded to the emergency at about 10.46am.
A team of firefighters arrived at the scene and found a woman was standing on the balcony of a unit on the 13th floor of the condominium.
However, the situation was brought under control at around 10.55am after the distress woman was successfully persuaded by her boyfriend to step away from danger.
As the matter was resolved through verbal intervention, no physical rescue operation was required by firefighters.
The operation concluded at 11am, and the woman was subsequently handed over to the police for further action. No injuries were reported. — DayakDaily
