Vessels must submit documents including last 10 port of call list, Seaman Book

The SOPs for shipping sector released by SDMC on Dec 24, 2021.

KUCHING, Dec 24: Vessels calling on Sarawak’s ports for loading and unloading cargo must submit four documents including the last 10 port of call list, crew lists, the Seaman Book and Letter of Guarantee from employers.  

This is according to the latest standard operating procedures (SOP) pertaining to the shipping sector released by the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today.


For any crew who signed on from outside Malaysia and wish to sign off or make a shore landing, they will be need to undergo a quarantine period of seven days at quarantine centres.  

They are also required to provide a Covid-19 vaccination certificate, negative rt-PCR test result valid within three days prior to entering Malaysia, copy of their passports, work permit or visa, flight itinerary, approved My Travel Pass or MY Entry Pass, hotel booking confirmation or Letter of Undertaking.

For crew signing on within Malaysia, and are fully vaccinated, they are exempted from such requirements. —DayakDaily
