District Police Chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed that the reports were lodged by two complainants, who are closely related.

This connection has led the police to believe that the same party may be responsible for both incidents.

“Preliminary investigations are underway. We are actively seeking witnesses and collecting evidence to aid in our investigation,” said ACP Alexson, in a statement today.

The motive behind the attacks remains unclear at this stage.

The incidents are being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code, which deals with mischief and damage to property.

The police have opened an investigation paper to facilitate the probe.

“We advise everyone to avoid speculating and spreading rumors about the incidents. It is essential to verify the authenticity of information before sharing it,” he said.

Residents are also encouraged to enhance their home security measures, such as installing CCTV cameras and alarm systems.

Anyone with information regarding the incidents is urged to come forward and contact the nearest police station or call 085-433730. — DayakDaily
