US Ambassador pays courtesy call on Abang Johari

KUCHING, April 11: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy call from US Ambassador to Malaysia Kamala Shirin Lakhdhir at the former’s office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia yesterday.

During the half-hour call, Lakhdir extended an invitation to the Chief Minister to be the guest-of-honour at the closing ceremony of the Pacific Partnership exercise on board the USNS Fall River on April 12.

The exercise is a collaboration between the Malaysian Armed Forces and the US Navy.

The current visit is US Fall River’s second to Sarawak, after the first in 2017. — DayakDaily
