KUCHING, July 3: Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) has received the ‘Top Course Provider’ Award at the National Training Week (NTW) 2024 held at Bukit Jalil National Stadium last Sunday (June 30).
The recognition was given to Unimas Edu Sdn Bhd (UESB), branded as Unimas Business School (UBS), as one of the top course providers; among 1487 participants at the NTW 2024.
“This is another feather in our cap in our unrelenting quest to be the preferred provider of quality academic and training in Malaysia and beyond, following our proud achievement for being the Top Course Provider last year.
“UBS outdoes its own record of offering 35 free courses in NTW 2023 to 53 courses this year,” the UBS said in a statement recently.
During the closing ceremony of NTW 2024, Unimas Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Ahmad Hata Rasit went on stage to receive the certificate of appreciation from Malaysian Minister of Human Resources Steven Sim Chee Keong and witnessed by Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
“NTW, introduced by HRD Corp, aims to foster continuous personal and professional development and promote life-long learning among all Malaysians.
“NTW 2024 successfully offered more than 65,000 free training courses to over 311,000 participants from June 24 to 30, 2024.
“UBS is proud to have played a major role in gaining recognition for our commitment towards the nation’s life-long learning initiative and in bringing together the many individuals who have contributed to our success,” it added. — DayakDaily
