KUCHING, June 6: Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) president Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh’s comments about the State government’s pay-cut initiative has been described as unfair.

Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) information chief Dato Idris Buang said the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) elected representatives are showing the world that they truly care for the people and are ready to chip in with their personal salaries for the State Covid-19 Disaster Fund.

Therefore, instead of ridiculing the noble gesture, Idris said Wong should give credit when and where it is due.

“Had he still been in the government, I would have thought that he would proudly join in to do the same.

“Now that he is in the Opposition, he would readily rebut, refute and even sarcastically ridicule all the good things the GPS government or its reps are doing for the rakyat simply to try to give a perception that he could do better,” Idris said in a statement today.

“He should be gentleman enough to acknowledge the good things that the Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and the GPS government have been doing with over 100 initiatives rolled out for the benefit of the people,” he added. ā€” DayakDaily
