KUCHING, Nov 4: An unemployed man has claimed trial to sexually assault and perform sexual act on an underage boy.
The accused was slapped with two charges here today where he pleaded not guilty on both counts of charges.
He was charged to have physically assaulted the boy by touching the latter inappropriately and performing sexual act without the boy’s consent at a hotel room at about 11 pm on May 19, 2019.
The charge brought against him was Section 14 of the Sexual Offences Against Children 2017 which carries an imprisonment not exceeding 20 years and liable to whipping upon conviction.
He was also charged under Section 377CA of the Penal Code, which carries an imprisonment between five to thirty years and liable to whipping, if convicted.
Sessions Court Judge Jason Juga fixed Dec 2 for pre-trial case management.
