KUCHING, March 26: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Bukit Saban branch chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah urges its members from all sub-branches under it to avoid issues which could cause conflict and dissension among them.

Uggah said, whenever there are any grievances or dissatisfaction, the culture and discipline in PBB is to sit down together to discuss them amicably.

“It will not benefit anyone or PBB to resort to action which will only aggravate the situation.

“When PBB remains united and strong, it will remain very relevant and be the backbone of the State government in the years to come,” said Uggah in his speech during the Bukit Saban PBB branch triennial delegates meeting held in Spaoh today.

At the same time, he also advised party members to reach out to first time youth voters (Undi18) with a view to recruit them to join it.

Meanwhile, Uggah assured the people that he together with Betong MP Datuk Robert Lawson Chuat and Layar and Saribas state assemblymen Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu and Mohd Razi Sitam would continue to work hard to bring more development and progress in the Division.

He said these included providing better communications or internet connectivity and more stable treated water supply as well as income generating modern agricultural activities.

“We are going to have the Betong Industrial Park and the agroparks at Lubok Tamang and Bebuling soon.

“We must be active participants in activities in them rather than being contented as mere bystanders watching from the sidelines as others who participate benefit,” he said. — DayakDaily
