KUCHING, March 21: Foreigners, including Sarawakians from overseas, need to undergo an RTK-Antigent (RTK-Ag) test at the airport before entering the State, said Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.

Uggah said they first need to conduct a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test two days before departure.

“Upon their arrival at the entry point in Sarawak, they will be subjected to the RTK test,” he said during a press conference held at Wisma Bapa Malaysia today.

According to Sarawak Health Department (JKNS) director Dr Ooi Choo Huck, the RTK test takes 20 to 30 minutes.

He said it (time taken for the test) is acceptable compared to not being able to get through the border.

Earlier on, Uggah said that travellers from overseas are allowed to enter Sarawak without applying for My Travel Pass and enterSarawak approval or filling in the E-Health Declaration Form (eHDF).

He also said international travellers need to download and complete the Pre Departure Form accessible through the Travellers Icon in MySejahtera.

He added it is sufficient to download the MySejahtera app and fill in the relevant questionnaires. — DayakDaily
