KUCHING, July 14: Head of State (TYT) Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar arrived in Brunei for a two-day work visit and to attend Brunei’s Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah 78th birthday celebration.
Accompanied by his wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, they arrived at Bandar Seri Begawan Airport on July 14 at 5pm, together with Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and his wife Dato Dayang Morliah Awang Daud.
They were welcomed by Brunei Minister in the Department of the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense I Pehin Datu Lallaraja Mejar Jeneral (R) DPS Awang Halbi Mohd Yussof and other distinguished guests.
In the evening on the same day, Dr Wan Junaidi and his wife attended a dinner ceremony with the Sarawak delegation at a restaurant in Bandar Seri Bagawan, which was also attended by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg together with his wife Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’aini Tun Tuanku Bujang, Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Dato Sri Julaihi Narawi and others.
Today (July 15), Wan Junaidi is scheduled to attend the ceremonial meeting and conferral ceremony at Brunei Royal Palace at 9.30am, follow by a meeting with His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah at 2pm.
On Tuesday (June 16), Wan Junaidi and his wife will also attend the dinner ceremony in conjunction with the Birthday of His Majesty at 7.30pm at the Nurul Iman Royal Dining Hall. — DayakDaily
