TYT and wife stop for lelapan lunch in Miri after arriving from Limbang

MIRI, March 10: Sarawak Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pehin Sri Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, enjoyed a meal of lelapan bawal and lelapan kambing for lunch with the public this afternoon at a shop along Miri Waterfront for known for its variety of lelapan dishes.

The couple reached the shop at 12pm, after arriving earlier at Miri Airport from Limbang.


Wan Junaidi and Fauziah warmly greeted the public as they arrived at the shop, surprising many with their presence.

Present to welcome the couple were Minister for Transport Sarawak Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, Deputy Minister for Utility and Telecommunication II (Utility) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, Miri Resident Jamalie Busri, Deputy Miri Mayor Cr Ariffin Mohamad and local community leaders.

The lunch lasted for one hour.

Later in the evening, the governor and his wife will be attending the moon sighting event at Pusat Falak Miri at Luak Esplanade held in accordance with determining the start of the fasting period. — DayakDaily
