MIRI, Oct 14: A 47-year-old man died following a two-vehicle collision near Ladang 3, Jalan Pan Borneo, yesterday (Oct 13).
According to Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu, the collision involved a Proton Saga driven by the victim and a four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle whose driver was unharmed in the 6.30am accident.
“The victim was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at Niah health clinic,” he added.
Investigations at the scene revealed that before the crash, the victim was heading towards Ladang 3 before suddenly skidding and crashing into the 4WD from the opposite lane.
The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
