KUCHING, Dec 20: Two persons were injured in a collision involving two Mitsubishi Tritons at Pekan Baki along Jalan Kuching-Serian today.
According to a report by the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call about the accident was received at 6.08pm. A team of firefighters from the Serian Fire and Rescue Station (BBP Serian) was dispatched to the scene and arrived 13 minutes later.
The accident involved a silver Mitsubishi Triton carrying two victims: an 81-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman. Both sustained injuries and were trapped inside the vehicle.
The rescue team used specialised equipment to safely extricate the victims. After being freed, they were given initial medical attention by the Bomba Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) team and later transported to Serian Hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the accident is under investigation. — DayakDaily
