Two-metre-long python nabbed in chicken coop

The python is successfully caught.

MIRI, Oct 2: A 52-year-old man from Taman Yakin here was shocked to find a two-metre-long python inside his chicken coop devouring one of his chickens early Tuesday morning (Oct 2).

The chicken coop was located in the backyard of his house.

According to sources, the homeowner had rushed out to check on his chickens after hearing a loud noise around 2.23am.


“The serpent was eating my chicken halfway when the discovery was made,” said the homeowner who wished to remain anonymous.

He immediately called the Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) for assistance.

Three APM personnel arrived at the scene around 2.37am. It took them less than five minutes to catch the snake weighing at about eight kilogrammes. — DayakDaily
