KUCHING, April 13: Two local men were seriously injured after being attacked by a group of five armed assailants at a vehicle workshop along Jalan Kuching-Serian in Siburan yesterday morning (April 12).
According to Padawan District Police Chief, Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi, the incident occurred at approximately 9.55am, when the victims, aged 30 and 54, were suddenly assaulted by the group wielding machetes.
“Both victims sustained injuries to their hands and legs,” he said in a statement issued last night.
The case is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt using dangerous weapons.
Padawan District Police’s Criminal Investigation Division, in collaboration with the Sarawak Contingent Criminal Investigation Department, is actively pursuing the suspects involved.
Members of the public with information related to the case are urged to come forward to assist in the investigation. – DayakDaily
