KUCHING, June 30: Doremart Supermarket has clarified that a brief altercation between two men at its outlet located at Tropics City, Jalan Tabuan Dayak yesterday (June 29) was swiftly defused, with no disruption to store operations or other customers.
The incident, captured in a 21-second video that has gone viral on social media, showed the two men engaging in a heated confrontation inside the premises.
In a statement issued on the same day, Doremart described the situation as a result of “a moment of emotional impulse” and assured that it was resolved peacefully.
“Our team responded immediately and managed the situation appropriately.
“The individuals involved have since resolved the matter peacefully and offered mutual apologies,” the statement read.
The management also confirmed that the supermarket remained open and operational throughout the incident, with the safety of customers and staff unaffected.
“There was no impact on other customers and the store environment has returned to normal,” it added. — DayakDaily
