BINTULU, Feb 3: The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) responded to two separate landslide incidents in Bintulu this afternoon, both of which were promptly addressed without the need for rescue operations.
The first landslide was reported at Belle Hill Housing, Jalan Tun Hussein Onn, at 12.04pm. Bomba personnel arrived at the scene at 12.40pm, about 12 kilometers from the station.
Upon inspection, it was found that a canvas had been placed to prevent further soil erosion.
After conducting a safety monitoring check, the team confirmed that no immediate danger remained and concluded their operation by 12.44pm, Bomba reported.

In another development, a landslide occurred at Taman Happy Garden Phase 2, also in Bintulu, reported at 12.04pm.
Bomba arrived at 12.58pm, just 7 kilometers from the station, to find a 15-meter stretch of soil had slid along the edge of a resident’s property. The situation was deemed stable with no signs of further soil movement.
As with the first incident, no rescue operation was necessary, and safety monitoring was completed by 1.06pm. – DayakDaily
