KUCHING, Jan 2: Two men suffered injuries after their sub-compact vehicle collided with a three-tonne lorry along Pasi road, in Sarikei today.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation center in a statement today, they received the emergency call regarding the incident at 12.30 pm, and a team of nine firefighters from Bomba Sarikei led by PBK Haron Jenai was deployed to the location.
“After arriving at the location, firefighters found that the victims managed to get out of the vehicle before their arrival, and the two injured victims were later handed over to the Ministry of Health (MOH) ambulance waiting at the scene for treatment,” it said.
The statement noted the operation ended at 12.58 pm, after ensuring that the situation is under control and the road is safe for motorists. -DayakDaily
