Two injured in collision at Pujut flyover

MIRI, Dec 22: Two individuals were rushed to Miri Hospital after their Perodua Viva was rammed by another vehicle at Pujut flyover here today.

According to sources, it was understood that the driver had stopped the vehicle by the side of the road to check on a punctured tyre believed to have occurred when navigating the flyover. Moments later, an incoming car rammed into the victims’ vehicle from behind.


The driver and passenger of the Perodua Viva suffered injuries due to the collision but the driver of the other vehicle escaped unharmed.

The 3pm incident caused long traffic queue at the road stretch, where vehicles were moving bumper-to-bumper.

Traffic police officers were spotted at the scene to probe the incident. — DayakDaily
