KUCHING, March 26: Two fishermen reported to be stranded in the sea yesterday (March 25) have been safely returned to their respective families thanks to Mukah MP Dato Hanifah Hajar Taib’s personal boat.

According to a report by Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre, Hanifah offered to use her Twin 330hp boat for the Bomba to rescue the two boats, which had run out of fuel at 20 nautical miles near Mukah waters yesterday.

The boat was steered by Hanifah’s own man and accompanied by the Bomba team in the search and rescue (SAR) operation.
