Two European tourists reported missing this evening


KUCHING, Feb 28: Two male tourists have been reported missing from Semenggoh Wildlife Centre after failing to sign out at closing time this evening.

Sarawak Fire and Rescue department (Bomba) operation center in a statement said that they received the call at 5.40 pm.

The department stated that the two European males were presumed missing only after the workers at the center realised that both had failed to exit the center at closing time.


“Earlier on, both men were having an altercation with the center’s workers over an entrance ticket at the entrance to the wildlife center, but it was resolved after others visitors agreed to help pay for both of their entrance ticket fees,” it said.

A team of six firefighters led by PBK II Albanus, together with a K9 Unit from Bomba Siburan were deployed to the location.—DayakDaily.
