Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver lost control of the Perodua Axia before colliding with a metal road divider.

The impact caused the driver to sustain head injuries, while the passenger suffered minor injuries.

“Upon our arrival, both victims had already been assisted out of the vehicle by bystanders and were receiving initial medical treatment from a Health Ministry ambulance team from the Selangau Health Clinic,” Bomba stated in their report.

Firefighters inspected the scene, disconnected the car’s battery to prevent electrical hazards, and ensured the area was safe before leaving.
