KUCHING, May 8: Brunei’s very own singing sensation, Aahil Alex or Alex for short, will be fighting for a spot to be in the TVSTARZ Dream Team.
TV Sarawak (TVS), a television station based here in a press statement today said Alex might just raise the bar in the singing competition, organised by TVS, based on his audition video.
In a recent interview conducted, Alex said he was honoured to be selected as part of the programme, and will continue pushing himself, besides looking forward to the moral support from Dayang Nurfaizah.
According to the TVS, Alex had his first stardom in 2012 when he was placed fourth in the “Bintang Radio” competition organised by Radio Television Brunei (RTB) when he was just 18 years old, while competing against more experienced and established singers.
“Alex then participated in Indosiar Dangdut Academy Asia 5, challenging singers from seven countries and has produced three singles namely; Cintai Aku Saja (2014), Salah (2015) and Mimpi Indah Ku (2020).
“Will Alex secure his place among the Dream Team? Who will be eliminated next on TVSTARZ? Catch them in action every Tuesday, 9pm (Malaysian time) on TVS Channel 122 Astro and MYTV, airing simultaneously on TVS Facebook page,” the statement added.
TVSTARZ is set to be an all-ASEAN online singing competition with representatives from Malaysia, namely Eyqa, Jazper, Jalee, Valerie, Andrey (Indonesia), Angel (Philippines) and Alex as the newest addition.
Its unique format allows Challengers to snatch a spot in the Dream Team and be evaluated by professional judges; Ernie Zakri, Amir Jahari and Yudhi Seriestha.
Former Miss World Malaysia Dewi Liana Seriestha, an established singer who won the talent competition at Miss World 2014, is also the singing coach for the contestants. — DayakDaily
