It reported that the programme was organised by the Miri City Council with participation from Pusat Latihan Teknologi Tinggi (ADTEC) Miri, Institut Kemahiran Belia Negara (IKBN) Miri and Kolej Vokasional Miri.

The ADTEC Miri director Dr Mustal Makmud told TVS that in addition to helping clean the affected residential areas, the volunteer team also conducted electrical inspections from house to house to ensure that the electrical supply and wiring systems were still safe.

This programme also provides opportunities for TVET students to apply the knowledge they have learned in real-life situations, thereby preparing themselves to face the challenges of the job market.

“We assist in the repair of electrical and electronic equipment.

“This inspection was conducted together with TVET students from ADTEC Miri, IKBN Miri, Kolej Vokasional Miri, and other agencies to ensure that the electrical and electronic equipment of flood victims is safe to use,” he said when met by TVS at Kampung Pujut Sungai Adong, Miri, today. – DayakDaily
