KUCHING, Nov 27: TV Sarawak (TVS) urges members of the public not to be conned by individual Abdul Al Haffiz Abdul Aziz who falsely claimed to be offering job opportunities with TVS.

TVS Management has released an official statement on its official Facebook page that this is untrue and TVS is not at all involved with these dishonest practices.

“It has come to our attention that an individual has contacted people offering false employment opportunities with TVS.

“We would like to clarify that we have absolutely no involvement with these fraudulent practices and do not make such solicitation,” it asserted in the statement.

For the information of the public, TVS Management explained that any employment offer with TVS would have to undergo a formal interview procedure with Sarawak Media Group (SMG) under the Human Resource Department beforehand.

Other than that, the standard recruitment process would include a formal email, phone communications or face to face meeting between the recruiter and the interviewee, and not otherwise.

In handling this job recruitment fraud, the Management said it has notified appropriate legal authorities in an effort to stop such schemes.

“If you are contacted by someone whom you suspect may not be appropriately representing TVS, please do not provide any personal or financial information and contact us immediately at hr@smg.my for any human resources related matter.

“At TVS, we stand with integrity and do not condone any illegal activities as such. We apologise to those who have been affected and we will continue to do our best in countering this matter.

“For any inquiries concerning any other related matter, do not hesitate to reach out to us at talk2us@tvstv.my,” urged TVS Management.-DayakDaily
