TUDM Sarawak receives 100 protection boxes from associations

Boxes of medicinal supplies, among others that arrived this morning in Kuching air base.

KUCHING, Apr 3: Sarawak received 100 unit of intubation protection box (aerosol box) courtesy of the Royal Military College ex-prince association’s volunteer and Old Putera Association (OPA).

The Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM) in a statement said that the equipment, together with other additional clinical supplies from the Ministry of Health (MoH), including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) were flown over from Subang base, at 7am today to both Sarawak and Sabah for distribution.

“Two types of the protection box, which is ‘Intubation Type’ and ‘Sampling Type’, was produced by the Royal Military College ex-prince association’s volunteers, with the assistance of the Old Putera Association (OPA).


“It will be distributed to the health facilities throughout Sarawak, which will be use in the frontline, especially for those doing screening test, check up and providing medical treatments in Health Clinic, District Health Office and also hospitals,” it said.

It was also noted that among other supplies distributed were pharmaceutical equipment supplies and critical medicinal supplies which will also be distributed in health facilities in Sabah.

The statement added that the flight, am A400M from ‘No.22 Skuadron’, based in Subang was flown by Major Lo Chee Sing from TUDM assisted by Captain Mohd Erid Abd Rahim, together with five crew members.

TUDM also assured that they would continue their commitment to assist the government and other agencies in effort to curb the spread of Covid-19. —DayakDaily.
