MIRI, June 3: Inter-district travel permits are now applicable at six police stations in this division starting from Tuesday (June 2), disclosed Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah.

Those police stations are Lutong police station; Miri Central police station (CPS); Airport police station; Tanjung Lobang police station; Bekenu police station and Batu Niah police station.

Lim said the main objective was to avoid congestion at Miri IPD.

“We want to avoid IPD Miri being crowded and congested by members of the public who are coming there to submit and apply for the inter-district travel permit during the conditional movement control order (CMCO) following Covid-19,” he stated.

Therefore, he urged the public’s cooperation to continue complying with the standard operation procedure (SOP) while submitting and applying for their inter-district travel permits.

“However, only applications with valid reasons will be approved,” Lim said.—DayakDaily
