MIRI, March 27: Minister for Transport Datuk Lee Kim Shin and Assistant Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Sebastian Ting received their second dose of Covid-19 vaccine today.
They took their shots at the Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club here together with other frontliners. When contacted, Lee urged the people in this division to register as soon as possible to get their vaccination shots.
“It is really painless. The needle is super fine. I did not feel any pain,” he said, commenting on his second vaccination dose.
The second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine was also administered to Assistant Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Sebastian Ting, Telang Usan Assemblyman Dennis Ngau, Lambir Assemblyman Ripin Lamat, Miri Mayor Adam Yii, Acting Miri resident Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof and Miri fire zone 6 chief Supt Law Poh Kiong.
Lee received his first dose on March 6 together with frontliners in this division.
The vaccination procedure for the Miri division, which would follow phase 1 for frontliners which began on March 6, is estimated to finish at the end of April.
Lee also urged those 18 and above who have not registered, to register via Mysejahtera as soon as possible for their vaccination shots.
“For those who have no access to Mysejahtera, they can register manually at district offices or local councils or Ketua Kaum,” he said.
“This afternoon, Miri started its second dose vaccination. Those who had their first dose on March 6 are coming back today for the second dose at two centres in Miri District, namely, Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club and the Dato Permaisuri Hall. -DayakDaily
