KUCHING, March 10: The traffic light intersection of Jalan Kuching-Bau and Jalan Stephen Yong (in front of Kampung Bumbok hawker centre) will be closed from 7pm to 6am starting today until March 25 for road maintenance and resurfacing works.
The Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak, in a notice issued, advised road users to use alternative routes during the temporary closure of the road period until maintenance works are completed.
Motorists should also slow down and be extra careful when driving along the roads when works are being carried out as well as follow the traffic management rules in place to ensure safety while driving.
Contractors will inform in advance if there are changes in the date and areas involved for the maintenance works.
Motorists are also reminded to plan their trips in the affected areas.
