Tourism, transport ministries to work on increasing tourist arrivals, air connectivity in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 24: The Malaysian Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) and Ministry of Transport (MOT) will continue to work together to increase the number of tourist arrivals and connectivity to more destinations in the country.

In stating this, MOTAC Minister Dato Seri Tiong King Sing said the increase of flight routes had not only increase number of tourists into the country but also boost the tourism and transportation industries.

ā€œTherefore, the demand for air and land connectivity will continue to increase drastically,ā€ he said in a statement yesterday (Feb 23).

Tiong also mentioned that with the support of all industry players, the two ministries (MOTAC and MOT) will continue their partnership to develop a better ecosystem for tourism and transportation industries. ā€” DayakDaily
