SIBU, April 19: A total of 55 orphans from Juma’ani Tuanku Haji Bujang Welfare Complex received duit raya donations worth RM100 each through the Ragad Foundation Ramadan charity programme on Monday.
According to the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), the programme was graced by founder and chairwoman of Ragad Foundation Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib.
Juma’ani Tuanku Haji Bujang Welfare Complex manager Najilanisa Suhaili when met said that her party is very proud of the contribution to the orphans in the complex.
She said it can be used as an example to the community to provide assistance and contributions to non-governmental organisations (NGOs) for the survival of orphans there.
“The Peryatim Complex and I are very happy because there are parties like Toh Puan Raghad who are willing to come to help and donate to us,” she said.
Also present were Peryatim Sarawak chairman Datu Misnu Taha and Peryatim Sarawak board member cum Peryatim Sibu Exco chairman Dato Mohamad Yusnar Matalie. — DayakDaily
