Tiong: Three PPVs in Bintulu to start operation from July 5 onwards

KUCHING, July 4: Several locations that have been identified as the Covid-19 vaccination centres (PPVs) in Bintulu will be operational soon, said Bintulu MP Dato Sri Tiong King Sing.

Tiong, in a statement today, said among the locations identified as the PPV are in Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) Sports Centre, Kidurong Anglican Church Multi Purpose, both in Kidurong and in a vacant space on the ground floor of PPR Bandaria Park.

“The PPV in BDA Sports Centre will start its operation on July 5, targeting about 15,000 residents in Sungai Plan area, and in order to prevent unnecessary movement and make it easier for PPR Bandaria Park residents to travel to various PPVs, about 3,000 of them will be vaccinated in a two-day period.


“While for the PPV in Kidurong Anglican Church Multi Purpose, it is scheduled for a temporary operation from July 7 until July 9, focusing on the local residents in RPR Kidurong (Phase 1 to 5),” he said.

PPV at BDA Sports Centre will start its operation on July 5, 2021.

According to Tiong, the PPV would cater for those who have yet to register themselves for the vaccination programme and anyone who has registered with MySejahtera application.

He also urged the local residents in the areas involved to cooperate with the authority involved in the vaccination programme during a survey which will be conducted in the three said locations.

“I also would like to remind the public to not flock to the vaccination centres if they have not receive the notification or the appointment dates from the MySejahtera application, and comply with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set in order to keep everyone safe,” he added. — DayakDaily
