KUCHING, May 22: Standard operating procedure (SOP) for Sarawak’s Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) will be further tightened and implemented effective starting this coming Tuesday (May 25).

This is the latest announcement by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today following a meeting with the Ministry of Health (KKM) and the National Security Council (MKN).

“In view of the high number of Covid-19 cases in Sarawak and following the risk assessment presented by KKM in a meeting on May 22, SDMC has agreed to tighten the existing SOP for CMCO.

“The implementation of the amended CMCO SOP will start effective 12.01am on May 25 until 11.59pm on June 7,” it said.

SDMC also noted that the SOP amendment information would be available on MKN’s official website starting May 24. — DayakDaily
