KUCHING, Nov 22: The first phase of the Fishermen Housing Special Programme at RGC Beladin, Betong, provides only 188 residential lots, not 270 lots.
Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government Michael Tiang Ming Tee clarified this when responding to Beting Maro assemblyman Razaili Gapor during the question-and-answer session in the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting here today.
He said the construction of 68 housing units of the project has been completed and the Certificate of Practical Completion (CPC) has been issued on Oct 6, 2020.
“Of the total 188, six lots are in fact reserved for emergency purposes for Village Expansion Scheme (SPK) Semarang/Spinang Phase 1,” he said.
He further said the Ministry does not have any plan to upgrade the existing infrastructure at SPK Semarang/Spinang Phase 1 which is estimated to cost RM19.5 million.
At the same time, Tiang mentioned that the status of Phase 1 re-development of Rancangan Perumahan Rakyat (RPR) Pusa involving 30 units of Rumah Spektra Permata (RSP) housing project is in the process of preparing a new sub-division plan for approval by Land and Survey Department.
“The estimated total cost for the construction of 30 units of RSP (on stilt) detached house for Spektra Permata Pusa involves an allocation of RM10 million.
“And the selling price for (each) RSP unit is in the range of RM90,000 to RM165,000 depending on land size and build up size,” he added. — DayakDaily
