KUCHING, Nov 14: Eight districts in Sarawak are expected to see thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds until 6pm today.
An advisory issued at 2.55pm today by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) identified the affected districts as:
- Kuching
- Sri Aman
- Sarikei
- Sibu (Selangau)
- Mukah (Tanjung Manis, Daro, and Mukah)
- Bintulu
- Miri (Telang Usan)
- Limbang
In its Facebook post, the department explained that a warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with an intensity of rain exceeding 20 mm/hour that is close to or expected to occur for more than an hour.
