KUCHING, March 10: Thunderstorms, heavy rains, and strong winds are expected in Kuching, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu and Miri today.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said on social media that the weather should last until 5pm in the evening.
“The warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with rain intensity exceeding 20mm/hour that is close or expected to occur for more than an hour,” it said.
A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a period not exceeding six hours for a single issue. — DayakDaily
