KUCHING, May 30: Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected in Bintulu and Miri until 3pm today.
According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department in a Facebook post today, the affected areas are Bintulu and Sebauh (for Bintulu) and Subis, Beluru, Miri, and Marudi (for Miri).
The warning was released at 11.45am today.
A warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with an intensity of rain exceeding 20 mm/hour that is close or expected to occur for more than an hour.
