KUCHING, Aug 25: Thunderstorms are expected in Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, and Betong until 5pm today.
According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MET Malaysia), at 1.20pm today it issued an advisory warning due to signs of a thunderstorm with rain intensity exceeding 20mm per hour.
It said the intense weather pattern is expected to occur for more than an hour.

The department added that a thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a period not exceeding six hours for a single release. — DayakDaily
