KUCHING, March 25: Thunderstorms are expected in Samarahan (Simunjan) and Sri Aman until 3pm today.
The Malaysia Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) in a Facebook post today issued the warning at 11am.
The department said the warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with rain intensity exceeding 20 mm/hour that is close OR expected to occur for more than an hour.
It added, a thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a period not exceeding six hours for a single release. — DayakDaily
