KUCHING, Feb 21: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for Kuching, Serian, Sibu, and Miri this afternoon.
Anticipated weather conditions include thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and strong winds affecting Kuching (Kuching), Serian, Sibu (Sibu), and Miri (Beluru). The warning, issued at 4.30pm today, remains in effect until 7pm.
“A warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with a rain intensity greater than 20 mm/hour that is approaching or expected to last for more than an hour. A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning that is valid for a maximum of six hours per release,” it highlighted. — DayakDaily
