KUCHING, May 3: Thunderstorm warnings have been issued for the south of Sarawak by the Malaysia Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) and is expected to last until 5pm.
According to the advisory notice released by MetMalaysia at 2pm, Kuching and Samarahan (Samarahan and Asajaya) are listed as the areas to be affected by the rainy weather.
Based on the Facebook post, the warning is only issued when there are signs of thunderstorm with rain intensity exceeding 20mm an hour or with downpour that is expected to occur for more than an hour.
