KUCHING, April 20: A thunderstorm warning has been issued for Belaga, Bintulu, Tatau, and Sebauh until 9pm tonight.
According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), in an advisory notice issued at 5.35pm, anticipated weather conditions include strong winds and heavy rainfall.
The department said that a warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with a rain intensity greater than 20mm/hour that is approaching to or expected to last for more than an hour.
It added that a thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning that is valid for a maximum of six hours per release. — DayakDaily
