KUCHING, March 8: Ten districts in Sarawak are expected to experience thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds until 1 pm.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued an advisory notice at 9.45 am stating that the affected districts are Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit, and Song.
According to the department, a warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with a rain intensity greater than 20mm/hour approaching or expected to last for more than an hour.
It said that a thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a maximum of six hours per release. — DayakDaily
