Three housebreaking suspects nabbed, dismantled motorcycles and shotgun gauges recovered

MARUDI, Jan 31: Police arrests three housebreaking suspects and recovered five dismantled motorcycles and four shotgun gauges in separate raids here today.

Marudi district police chief, DSP Jo Hang, said with the arrest of the trio, the police have managed to solve at least eight housebreaking cases and motorcycle thefts within Long Lama, Lapok and Bakong.

All the suspects, aged 27, 36 and 57, were picked up at two separate longhouses at Jalan Samling, Long Lama, he said.

“During a check carried out at the first location, whereby two suspects were nabbed, police discovered four shotgun gauge concealed inside a pouch bag and five dismantled motorcycles,” he said.

All suspects are being investigated under Section 8 of the Firearms Act 1960 and Section 29 (1) of the Minor Offences Act 1955, which carries a maximum RM1,000 fine or one year jail or both, upon conviction. — DayakDaily
