Three Filipina detained, 49 compounds issued over SOP breach in last 24 hours

KUCHING, Feb 12: Three Filipino women were arrested by the police at a bar and restaurant in Kuching in the last 24 hours for failing to produce their travel documents and for violating the standard operating procedures (SOP).

In total, the police issued a total of 49 compounds throughout Sarawak for violating the SOP, whereby 42 offenders were caught in Kuching; 4 in Sibu; 2 in Padawan and 1 in Limbang.

Under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988, each offender is fined RM1,000.


Meanwhile, the State Ministry of Local Government and Housing has issued 104 verbal and written warning notices under their Local Authority Ordinance, namely: 28 in Padawan Municipal Council (MPP); 21 in Miri City Council; 15 in Kuching North City Hall (DBKU); 11 in Mukah-Dalah District Council; 8 in Bintulu Development Authority (BDA); 7 in Marudi District Council; 6 in Kuching South City Council (MBKS); 4 in Sarikei District Council; 3 in Serian District Council and 1 in Subis District Council.-DayakDaily
