Three different delegations pay courtesy calls on Abang Johari

KUCHING, Oct 9: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg on Wednesday (Oct 7) received courtesy calls from the state’s Senators, Malaysian Armed Forces, and the Indonesia Consulate-General in Kuching, Yonny Tri Prayitno.

The first visit led by Senator Zaiedi Suhaili included Senator Robert Lau, Senator Datuk Paul Igai, Senator Rita Sarimah Patrick Insol, Senator Susan Chemerai Anding and Senator Dr Nuing Jeliung.

Among the topics discussed during the visit were the latest developments in the state, infrastructure development, education, and current political condition in the state and also the country.

Later on, the Chief Minister also received a courtesy call from the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) led by Army Eastern Field Command commander Lt-Gen Datuk Zakaria Yadi.

Together with Major-Gen Datuk Dzulkifli Mustaffa and Colonel Zunaidi Hassan, the purpose of the visit was to introduce new Army Chief Commander Gen Datuk Zamrose Mohd Zain, who had assumed his duties in July this year.

This was followed by the courtesy call from Yonny and his entourage, with the objective of strengthening the cooperation and friendship between Sarawak and Indonesia. — DayakDaily
