KUCHING, March 3: Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg, Jalan Pearl and Jalan Barrack will be temporarily closed to all vehicles on March 6 (Sunday) to make way for the Kuching Car Free Morning 2022 programme.
Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) in a statement today said the closure will take place between 6am and 10am.
According to DBKU, the objective of the Kuching Car Free Morning 2022 programme is to help reduce carbon emissions and road congestion, promote a healthy and green lifestyle, environmental awareness as well as to create a space for interaction and activities for citizens.
Road users are advised to comply and cooperate with the instructions on the signages provided.
