KUCHING, Feb 23: There will be temporary road closure near the turn exiting from Jalan Setia Raja to Jalan Canna (near Setia Raja Tabuan roundabout) from 9pm to 4am starting today (Feb 23) until March 18 to facilitate road works as part of the Kuching-Samarahan Expressway upgrading project.

In an advisory notice, the Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR) Samarahan Division disclosed that a partial road closure will also be implemented in both directions along Jalan Canna throughout the work period.

During this time, motorists on Jalan Setia Raja heading towards Jalan Canna may use the alternative route through Stutong Indah Commercial Centre via Lorong Setia Raja 12A as indicated by the yellow dotted line on the map above.

Motorists are thus advised to be extra careful when approaching and travelling along the stretch and to comply with all traffic management instructions until the road works have been completed.

Road users are also encouraged to plan their journey ahead as some traffic delays can be expected in both directions heading towards Pending as well as towards Samarahan.

Sarawak JKR Samarahan Division apologised for any inconvenience caused, and will update the public should there be any changes in the date, time or area involved with the road upgrading and repair works.

For information on the traffic flow or to file complaints, the public may contact JKR Samarahan Division Office at 082-671076 during office hours. — DayakDaily
