KUCHING, March 14: The U-turn junction from Mile 9 of the Kuching-Serian Road to RH Park (Mile 9.5) and a portion of the fast lane is temporarily closed to facilitate construction activities beginning March 12 until May 11.
Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak announced on a social media post today that the road is closed to allow for pavement reconstruction for the Pan Borneo Highway Project.
Road users are advised to use the alternative road provided according to the directional sign boards installed along the route.
JKR Sarawak gave assurance that while contractors will work diligently to expedite the completion of the works, the timing will be determined by weather and ground conditions.
It also apologised for any inconveniences caused and asked for the public’s continued cooperation.
