MIRI, July 9: Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau is urging the Sarawak government to take immediate action to repair the road along Lapok to Long Lama that is riddled with potholes.
“It involves a 25km stretch of road. The government needs to upgrade and maintain this section (of road) for the safety of road users who commute through this road daily,” he said.
Highlighting the potential dangers, Dennis said hundreds of lorries also pass through this road.
“For small cars, it is difficult and dangerous, especially for parents sending their children to the nearby school—SJK (C) Kee Tee,” he said when met at a function today.
Dennis added he had raised the issue during the previous Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting and to Sarawak Secretary Dato Sri Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki. — DayakDaily
